BIOGRAPHY

Konstantine Bogdanos, Sr., passed away peacefully at the Alaris Harborview in Jersey City, N.J. on October 7, 2017. He is survived by a sister, Anna and a brother Peter, his four sons, Colonel Matthew Bogdanos, Mark S. Bogdanos, Konstantine Bogdanos, Jr. and David Bogdanos of Corporate Realty in Hoboken.  He will be sadly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and especially his loving grandchildren.

 

Konstantine was born in New York City to Koula (nee Stenou) and Thomas Bogdanos and was extremely proud of his Greek heritage. His exceptional loyalty and dedication to the United States of America where he proudly served in the Marine Corps from 1951 to 1953, during the Korean War. Konstantine was a restaurateur of Denos on East 26th Street in Manhattan for more than 14 years, until becoming a resident of Hoboken in 1998.

 

The Funeral Service will be offered on Friday, 10AM at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 143 East 17th Street in New York City. Burial with military honors will take place at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Road, Calverton, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to be made in Konstantine’s memory to: Semperfifund.org or to the Disabled Marine Corps Veterans.
